Hi all,
Hope you’re well!
Here’s my latest Top 5 Wednesday post, I know there has been a whole heap of these posted in the last few weeks on my blog, but I’m steadily catching up. Shouldn’t bee too much longer until I’m up to date now. 🙂
Enjoy,
Top 5 Wednesday (T5W) was created by the YouTubers Lainey – https://www.youtube.com/user/gingerreadslainey/videos and Samantha – https://www.youtube.com/user/thoughtsontomes in 2013. I know I’m late to the party, but it’s better late than never eh? It’s a tag used by both YouTubers and Bloggers.
A new topic is chosen weekly and every Wednesday you upload a list of 5 books that are related to the chosen topic.
If you would like to get involved and join in, here is a link to the Goodreads group where each topic is published: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/118368-top-5-wednesday.
THE T5W TOPIC THIS WEEK IS FAVOURITE BOOK BROMANCES:
(The ones I’ve chosen are in no particular order)
1. Ron Weasley and Harry Potter – The Harry Potter series
I know I refer to the Harry Potter books a lot in my Top 5 Wednesday posts, but I couldn’t not mention Harry and Ron’s friendship. They are #friendshipgoals and definitely one of my all time favourite book bromances.
2. Legolas and Gimli – The Lord of the Rings trilogy
I had to choose Legolas and Gimli, even though they don’t always see eye to eye. By the end of the trilogy they become good friends, and the banter they have is absolutely hilarious and brilliant to read.
3. Augustus and Isaac – The Fault in our Stars
I chose Augustus and Isaac because I love how raw and real their friendship is. Although they are both struggling with illnesses, they still find happiness and humour in life.
4. Edward Cullen and Jacob Black – The Twilight Series
Okay, so I know that they technically don’t have a bromance for the majority of the books, but I love how sarcastic Edward and Jacob are with each other. It’s great to see a friendship and mutual understanding form as the series goes on, especially in the latter end of Breaking Dawn.
5. Meriadoc (Merry) Brandybuck and Peregrin (Pippin) Took – The Lord of the Rings trilogy
I know I’ve chosen two sets of bromances from The Lord of the Rings trilogy and shockingly neither have been Frodo and Sam. That’s because I much prefer the two I’ve chosen. I find Sam a little irritating at times, sorry not sorry!
I had to choose Merry and Pippin though, I think they’re a brilliant, mischievous comedy duo and I don’t think I would have enjoyed the trilogy as much without them being in it!

Nice 🙂 I reckon I’m secretly a hobbit too as I’m so short. Thankfully I don’t have hairy feet though 😛

Only one I understood was “The Fault in Our Stars” since it is the only book out of these that I have read. I am a bad bad bad book blogger 😉 I mean I haven’t even read J.R.R. Tolkien? What is wrong with me hehe

I wouldn’t say you’re a bad book blogger at all! We all have specific books and genres we prefer 🙂 I would suggest giving LOTR a read though, I know I’m biased, but it’s amazing! 😀

My partner wants me to read them badly. He is a fantasy nerd though, so makes sense. 🙂 Guess I am going to have to finally buckle down and read them.
