Synopses:

Do you have fun with your own life? How often do you really pay attention and choose things to improve your day?

In 365 Days of Happiness, author, energy healer, and mindfulness teacher Jacqueline Pirtle has created daily inspirations that help you mindfully work towards living a more vivid experience of daily happiness. Showing that you can put in work to change your life while having fun, the practices are full of whimsy and delight.

Jacqueline decided to spend every day of 2017 devoted to her own happiness. She wrote every single day about the things she does to honor her joy, and used these writings to create this 365 day step-by-step guide, so she could teach you how to shift to BE and live in a “high for life” frequency of happiness too-no matter where you are at in your life right now. She started writing these for herself, but has a little sneaky intent to touch your heart every day and initiate new learning, understanding, knowledge, and wisdom for you to get closer to your true, authentic happy self.

Through light, bubbly, cheerful passages, each day teaches you to find happiness, use those sour lemons, and shift yourself into a “high for life” frequency where you can reach happiness anywhere at any time.

Overall opinion of the book:

365 Days of Happiness is an extremely uplifting read. If you’re looking for a positive book firmly rooted in mindfulness and the Law of Attraction, this is certainly the book for you. The author, Jaqueline Pirtle, being a mindfulness teacher, approaches the subject of Happiness in a brilliant manner, and each page oozes positivity and how you can achieve it.

As the synopses suggests, the book focuses on happiness and how you can BE happy and your best possible self. Intended to be read over the course of a year, each day is dedicated to positive affirmations and is best utilised if you take ten minutes out of your day to reflect on what is being said. If you read the book over the course of a few days, or in one sitting then you may feel a little overwhelmed with the book as it is intended to be read over a year. It’s not a book you can easily digest in one sitting.

I read this book over a few weeks (for review purposes) and while it was helpful and I took a lot from it, I would strongly suggest not doing this as the book can feel a little repetitive and you are unlikely to take all that you can away from it. I’m definitely going to be rereading this book in the way it was intended as I think it will definitely help me to become more positive in every day life.

365 Days of Happiness focuses on so many different aspects of life and how you can even turn an upsetting or painful experience into a more positive one. It discusses, health, money, friendships, family, illness, life, death and relationships to name a few. Each day provides a different scenario to reflect on and emphasises how you can include happiness into each situation. Many of the days include short exercises that ask you to think about certain times in your life or to make a short list of things you’re grateful and thankful for, for example. The book emphasises how to look for happiness and positivity any and every situation. Each day ends with the sentence ‘This is happiness!’, reaffirming what this book is all about.

The spelling, punctuation and grammar was flawless and the content is easily accessible. Although this book is suitable and helpful for all readers, I do feel as though some of the language may not be to everyone’s taste as it is very affirming and feel good. However, if you’re looking for a book that will help to improve your mindset and positivity, then then is most definitely the book for you.

Final thoughts:

365 Days of Happiness was a helpful and reassuring book, filled with some great concepts and ideas. I would definitely recommend it to those who want to explore how mindfulness and the Law of Attraction can work in every day life. I think every reader of this book will come away with some helpful and useful tips on how to be more positive in every day life.

As it focuses on so many different aspects of life, there certainly is something for everyone in this book and hopefully it will help more people to BE their best self and accept happiness into every aspect of their lives.
